Ana & Nick Engagement - Sunset Cliffs & Night-Time in the Gaslamp!

I've known Ana & Nick for quite awhile now. Nick is one of my best buds and I am looking forward to their wedding this September in which I will be in the wedding as one of Nick's groomsmen! Obviously since I am in the wedding I can't be the one to photograph their big day so instead they asked me to shoot their engagement photos for them. We started at Sunset Cliffs through the sunset and then made it over to the Gaslamp area Downtown to have some fun at night.

Exploring San Diego's backcountry with Tricia & Ryan! (engagement session)

I am going to start off by saying this...whenever I have photo shoots that are as much fun and enjoyable as the shoot last weekend was with Tricia and Ryan it makes me feel that there is NO better job in the world! I am now officially 3 for 3 with couples that I have not had a chance to meet in person beforehand but have instantaneously felt at ease from the start and felt like I've known them for years. I can assure you, whenever this happens, the photos will turn out amazing and this was no exception. Ryan is from Texas and Tricia originally from South Dakota so they brought there cowboy boots along and we set off on a little hike to get some rustic / outdoors shots which I love to shoot and incorporate nature into the shots so I was stoked on that! We had a great time getting to know each other and getting some rad shots. Enough with my introduction...here they are (a few of them).

Ashley and Josh - Pt. Loma Lighthouse Wedding!

Last weekend we were all against the elements and mother nature for Ashley and Josh's wedding which was an outdoor ceremony being held on the bluffs adjacent to the Pt. Loma Lighthouse. Lucky for us, the off and on rain throughout the morning held off and although still windy and cold, no wet rain!

Nicole and I had a blast with Ashley and Josh and their family too. Despite us not having the chance to meet ahead of time, it didn't feel that way at all and we felt right at home.

Jackie and Gerry Engagement Session!

Yesterday morning Nicole and I met up with Jackie and Gerry down in Balboa Park to shoot their engagement session. Gerry only contacted me 2 weeks prior to the shoot and we never had a chance to meet in person however the four of us hit it off right from the start and we all had a blast walking all over Balboa Park getting some great shots! Jackie and Gerry were not afraid of the camera at all and were completely at ease and I think it shows in the photos! These are just a small handful of all the shots we got...enjoy!
